Wonder Woman

FITI added another school/class this semester: a three-hour block Public Speaking class on Tuesdays at the Fashion Institute of Technology. This is going to make my schedule a teeny bit crazy, but I had such a good feeling when I interviewed there. It’s only 15 weeks. I can do it! I’m excited to work with the artistic/design students for a change. It’s a very different dynamic in the classroom from my fashion business school. The students at FIT are less concerned with points and the nitty gritty of the course, and are more willing to jump in and play. I’m going to have to push them harder than I’m used to, but I look forward to the challenge. However, this brings me up to eight classes this semester at three different schools. To put this in perspective, most schools consider four classes to be full-time. On top of that, I’m also taking a course in Advanced French Grammar at Hunter College. There will certainly be some rough spots this semester, but I really do love teaching. If I can just remember that, I think I’ll pull through okay.
